Important Notice – 2026 Syllabus and 2026 Rules & Regulations 

A summary of all updates for 2026 appears on pages 1–2 under “What’s New in 2026.” 
As changes affect multiple areas of the syllabus and rules, participants and teachers are asked to review these documents carefully.

Please Note:

The following clarification is provided to assist competitors, teachers, and festival administrators during the 2026 Provincials registration period:

2026 Provincials Repertoire Information
• the two required Provincials selections must have been recommended by the adjudicator for Provincials consideration;
• additional repertoire may also be included, provided that it falls within the prescribed class level parameters and time limits;
• additional repertoire must also have been performed at the local festival and meet the Provincials qualifying standard.

Where clarification regarding repertoire eligibility is required, FMFNS may consult with the local festival administrator.
